Display Cabinets

Glazed oak cabinet

with upholstered banquette

Richard designed, produced and fitted a display cabinet at the foot of our stairs, along with a connecting bench seat. We wanted to use the space and he came up with suggestions and advised what could work, and what wouldn’t. He was always professional and reliable. Very meticulous, showing great attention to detail. He carried out the project with very little disruption and left no mess for us to deal with after. We were left with an amazing, finished product, for which we are extremely grateful.

Glazed oak display cabinet with upholstered storage banquette

Our clients wanted a corner display cabinet for their hallway. We felt the space just wasn’t there for it, so we persuaded them to have us make a cabinet for one wall only and instead add a banquette on the other wall. Now there’s a place to sit and contemplate the treasures soon to be housed inside the cabinet.

The devil in the detail

We built the project in light oak to match the staircase balustrade, and with frameless tempered glass doors and glass shelves. It’s lit by two vertical LED strips embedded within the cabinet walls and running behind the specialist hinges, dimmer controlled by means of a discreet touchpad set into the side panel of the cabinet. Knurled ‘radio’ knobs from Furnipart finish the job off nicely.

Media bar

Glazed drinks cabinets, bar and media

What a great combination. Our clients wanted a place to store and display their impressive collection of rare whiskies. But we didn’t stop there – we made a second cabinet to hold the gin too!

Frameless glazed doors, toughened glass shelves, mirrored back panels with internal LED lighting strips recessed into the cabinet walls, finished in a glossy off-white to match the room decor. The beautiful colours of the spirits glow inside these cabinets. How could you resist a tipple while you watch the game?

It’s all been setup, looks lovely! Thank you, we are very happy.

The devil in the detail

The bar is shaped to a generous curve, with floating shelving above mirroring the line. Specialist glassware storage is suspended below a central floating shelf. Ventilation to the existing radiator is provided by custom vents let into the bar and there’s lots of storage provided below in sleek, handle-free touch to open drawers and doors. Finally, the ultra-thin Samsung television is encapsulated by a minimal, custom-made frame.
